Dr. Ali Kattan, a member of IEEE since 2009, is an Assistant Professor of Computer Sciences. He majors in Artificial Intelligence with research interests in machine learning, optimization, robotics, IoT and web programming. His career is blended between academia and the IT industry with more than 25 years of experience. An author of several published papers and some books. Currently, he serves as the the Director of Research Center at Knowledge University as well as a staff member at the newly established Department of Computer Engineering.
Dr. Kattan served as Director of Research Center at Tshik (formerly Ishik) in 2016-2017. He also served as a Director of Research & Development at Gateway/FastLink company in Erbil (2019-2020). He also supervises M.Sc. and Ph.D. postgraduate students and serves as a reviewer in international journals and conferences.
