Dr. Safar M. Asaad is an Assistant Professor who received a Ph.D degree in Information Systems Engineering (2024) from Erbil Technical Engineering College, Erbil Polytechnic University, Erbil, Kurdistan Region-F.R., Iraq. He got an M.Sc. Eng. in Advanced Software Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sheffield- UK (2012). 
He gained a B.Sc. degree in Software Engineering from Koya University, Erbil-Iraq (2008). In 2011, he got a scholarship site (Human Capacity Development Program) from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research—Kurdistan Region Government—Iraq to the UK. He finished his program in the Software Engineering field in 2012. Since 2013, he has joined his academic teaching at Koya University as an (Assistant Lecturer to Assistant Professor) in the Department of Software Engineering. His research focuses on IoT and wireless sensor Technologies, including WiFi, Bluetooth, LoRa, and smartphone Inertial sensors, to offer seamless outdoor to indoor positioning in IoT and complex environments.
