Department: Petroleum Engineering
I hold a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Soran University (2024) and an MSc from the University of Kurdistan (2019). With over 8 years of experience in both academia and the oil and gas industry, my career has spanned diverse roles and responsibilities.
In academia, my journey began as a lab assistant at Knowledge University, where I supported research and practical lab sessions. Over time, I progressed through various teaching and leadership roles at private universities. I have been involved in curriculum development, teaching key petroleum engineering modules, and supervising student projects and theses, all while mentoring future engineers.
I started in the oil industry as an H2S Field Engineer, ensuring safety and managing detection systems in high-risk environments. This position required a deep understanding of operational safety and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure. I later advanced to the role of Chemical and Waste Management Lead, where I was responsible for implementing environmental safety protocols, managing waste processes, and ensuring industry compliance with environmental regulations.
