Abdulbasd Hussein Ahmed is a dedicated linguist, ESL educator, and academic coordinator with extensive experience in English language teaching and assessment. He currently serves as an assistant lecturer at the College of Education (ELT Department) at Knowledge University, where he plays a key role in shaping future educators. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he also works as a coordinator between Knowledge University and the IELTS test center, facilitating language assessment initiatives.
His academic journey is marked by distinguished achievements, including a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Teaching from Salahaddin University (2017-2018). He further advanced his expertise by earning a Master’s degree in Sociolinguistics (Culture, Media, and Communication) from Lodz University, Poland (2021). Additionally, he was an Erasmus Scholar in Linguistics at Ostrava University, Czech Republic, enriching his interdisciplinary approach to language, culture, and communication. In addition, he successfully completed a 6-month pedagogy course from November 2022 to April 2023 at Erbil Polytechnic University, enhancing his teaching methodologies.
Beyond academia, Abdulbasd is also an IELTS instructor, equipping students with the necessary skills to achieve their desired scores. His passion for language education, cross-cultural communication, and assessment enables him to provide comprehensive support to learners, bridging the gap between theory and practice in English language teaching.
He received a fully-funded Erasmus scholarship in 2020 to pursue studies at Ostrava University in the Czech Republic.
