Monitoring Reused Water at Knowledge University | Knowledge University Campus
As part of our sustainability commitment and alignment with SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Knowledge University measures and monitors the amount of reused water applied across campus operations.
The Facilities & Projects Directorate records the monthly volume of recycled / reused water — primarily used for landscape irrigation and external cleaning works — through dedicated water metering points and internal reporting logs.
This monitoring process enables the University to:
- quantify water that is reused at least once before discharge
- reduce reliance on fresh potable water sources
- improve efficiency in water resource management
- support evidence-based decisions for campus sustainability planning
Reused Water Measurement – 2024 Overview
Monthly records are prepared and summarised to provide a yearly total volume of reused water.
This measurement system reflects Knowledge University’s practical approach to responsible water utilisation and our commitment to applying sustainable environmental practices across campus infrastructure.
