HWPL- Peace Education Program at Knowledge University-Erbil
Knowledge University-Erbil ( https://www.knu.edu.iq ) establish an academic international cooperation with HWPL ( https://www.hwpl.kr ) organization in South Korea.
HWPL, stands for Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light and it is an international peace Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered with the UN Department of Global Communications.
زانکۆی نۆڵج –هەولێر پەیوەندی ئەکادیمی نێودەوڵەتی لە گەڵ ڕێکخراوی نێودەوڵەتی ناحکومی ( ئێچ دەبلیو پی ئێڵ HWPL) کۆریای باشوور دروست دەکات.
.ئێچ دەبلیو پی ئێڵ واتا کەلتوری بەهەشتی ئاسمان، ئاشتی جیهان، گەڕاندنەوەی ڕووناکی، ڕێکخراوێکی نیودەوڵەتی کۆریای باشوورە و لە نەتەوە یەکگرتووەکان تۆمارکراوە و مؤڵەتی پێبەخشراوە
With initiative from HWPL, Knowledge University – Erbil (KNU) has established an international academic cooperation with it. According to the agreement, KNU will create a one semester new course titled; Pease Education and Cessation of War. The course will be launched soon and this subject will be delivered to the third grade undergraduate students at both English language department and International relations department as the first step. On the long term, the course will be expanded to include most of the departments of Knowledge University.
The objective of this course is to spreading and publishing awareness of the important of peace and cessation war and the negative impacts of the war on global level in general and in Kurdistan region in particular.
Delivering this important issue to the students and through them to their families and to the Kurdish community is an activity will be conduct by Knowledge university with full cooperation of HWPL.
بەدەستپێشخەری ئەو ڕێکخراوە، زانکۆی نۆڵج پەیوەندی ئەکادیمی نێو دەوڵەتی لە گەڵیدا بەست. پەپێی ئەو ڕێکەوتنامەیە، زانکۆی نۆڵج هەڵدەستێت بە دانانی یەک سیمیستەر لە بابەتێک بە ناونیشانی پەروەردەی ئاشتی و نەهێشتنی شەڕ. وەکوو هەنگاوی یەکەم، ئەو بابەتە لە ئاییندەیەکی نزیکدا لە قۆناغی سێیەمی بەشی زمانی ئینگلیزی کۆڵێژی پەروەردە و بەشی پەیوەندییە نێودەوڵەتیەکانی کؤڵێژی یاسا دەخوێندرێ. لە پلانی درێژخایەنی زانکۆ ئەو بابەتە دەدرێتە هەموو بەشەکانی زانکۆ بۆ ئەوەی بخوێندرێ.
ئامانج لە خوێندنی بابەتی پەروەردەی ئاشتی بریتیە لە بڵاوکردنەوەی هەستی ئاشتی و نەفرەتکردن لە شەڕ لە ناوکۆمەڵگەی کوردی لە ڕێگەی ئەو قوتابیانەی ئەو بابەتە دەخوێنن و دەبن بە باڵوێزو هەڵگری ئاڵای ئاشتی لە سەرانسەری جیهان بە گشتی و لە کوردوستان بەتایبەتی بە هاوکاری تەواوی ڕێکخراوی ناوبراو.
ABOUT HWPL
HWPL is an international peace NGO registered with the UN Department of Global Communications and holds special consultative status with ECOSOC. Founded with the vision of achieving the cessation of war and realization of peace, HWPL promotes peace through international law, interfaith dialogue, and education. The organization works with global leaders, youth, educators, and civil society to carry out projects in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), which serves as a foundational framework for its initiatives.
هەروەکوو ئاماژەمان پێکرد HWPLڕێکخراوێکی نێودەوڵەتیە و نەتەوەیەکگرتوەکان متەمانەی پێبەخشیوە. بڕوانامەی ڕاوێژکاری ڕێکخراوی ( ECOSOC) هەیە. ئەو ڕێکخراوە دامەزراوێکە هەوڵ دەدات شەڕ لە هەموو جیهان ڕابگرێ. ڕێکخراوی HWPL هەوڵی بڵاوکردنەوەی ئاشتی دەدات لە ڕێگەی یاسای نێودەوڵەتی، تاوتوێکردنی بە وەفادارانە و پەروەردە لە ناو گۆمەڵگەی شارستانی و بونیات نانی پڕۆژەکان لە گەڵ ئامانجەکانی پەرەپێدانی بەردەوامی نەتەوە یەکگرتووەکان و ڕاگەیاندنی جاڕی ئاشتی و ڕاگرتنی شەڕ وەک بنەمای چوارچێوەی دەستپێشخەریەکان کاردەکات.
PEACE EDUCATION: HWPL’s Vision in Action
Peace education is one of HWPL’s core strategies for cultivating a generation that understands the values of coexistence, respect, empathy, and global citizenship. The HWPL Peace Education Curriculum consists of 12 structured lessons designed to instill the principles of peace in students, from understanding the harmony of nature to applying peace in interpersonal and societal contexts.
پەروەردەی ئاشتی یەکێکە لە ئەرکە ستراتیجیە سەرەکیەکانی ڕێکخراوی HWPL بۆ بەرهەمهێنانی نەوەی نوێ نرخ و گرینگی بەیەکەوە ژیان تێبگات، ڕێزلێگرتن، نزیکبوونەوە لە یەکتری و هاونیشتیمانی و هاوڵاتی جیهان. پڕۆگرامی خوێندن و کۆرسبووکی بابەتی پەروەردەی ئاشتی لە دوازدە بەش پێک هاتووە. بە شێوەیەک داڕێژراوە بنەماکانی ئاشتی لە ناو قوتابیان دەچێنێ، ئەوە لە تێگەیشتنی هارمۆنی سروشت و چەسپاندن و بەرقەرارکردنی ئاشتی لە ناو کۆمەڵگا.
This program has already been introduced in over 400 institutions across 56 countries, including partnerships with ministries of education and national UNESCO commissions. Reports from educators show that students who receive peace education demonstrate improved emotional stability, empathy, and positive behavior in their communities.
ئەو پڕۆگرامە تاوەکوو ئێستا لە زیاتر لە چوارسەد دام و دەزگای خوێندن لە پەنجاو شەش وڵات دەخوێندرێ. لە نێوانیاندا هاوکاریکردن لەگەڵ وەزارەتەکانی پەروەردە و لێژنەکانی نیشتیمانی یۆنیسکۆ. ڕاپۆرتەکان وا دەردەخەن کە ئەو قوتابیانەی بابەتی پەروەردەی ئاشتیان وەرگرتووە هەستی جێگیر لەلایان دروست بووە هەڵسوکەوتی ئەڕێنی لەناو کۆمەڵگاکانیان جێگیر بووە.
Peace Educator Training at Knowledge University
As part of this MOU, Knowledge University will begin implementing HWPL’s Educator Training Program, which equips faculty members with the tools and mindset needed to become certified HWPL Peace Educators. This training will be conducted online weekly over the course of a month (flexible by schedule) and is designed to support faculty in integrating peace values into their classrooms and future peace education courses.
هەروەکوو لە یاداشتی لێکتێگەیشتن ئاماژەی پێکراوە ، زانکۆی نۆڵج بە هاوکاری ڕێکخراوی ئێچ دەبلیو پی ئێڵHWPL هەڵدەستێت بە کردنەوەی پڕۆگرامی ڕاهێنانی مامۆستایانی و بەهێزکردنیان بۆ ئەوەی ببن بە پەروەردەکاری ئاشتی زانکۆ و ڕێکخراوی ناوبراو. ئەو ڕاهێنانە بە ئۆنلاین ئەنجامدەدری هەفتەی یەک ڕۆژ بۆ ماوەی یەک مانگ. ئەوەش پشتگیری مامۆستاکان دەکات و بەهێزیان دەکات و ئەزموونی شێوازی وانە وتنەوەی پەروەردەی ئاشتی لە زانکۆ وەدەست دەهێنن. لە کۆتایی ئەو خولی ڕاهێنانە بڕوانامەی نێودەڵەتی بەشداربوون بە مامۆستا بەشدار بووەکان دەبەخشرێ و کاریگەری تەواوی دەبێ لەسەر سیڤی مامۆستاو بەرزکردنەوەی ڕەنکی زانکۆی نۆڵج.
ئەو لینکانەی خوارەوە پڕۆگرام وسەرچاوەی دوازدە بەشەی خوێندنی یەک سیمیستەر لە بابەتی پەروەردەی ئاشتی دەخاتە بەردەست مامۆستایان و فێرخوازان و ئارەزوو مەندان.
لەخوارەوە لینکەکانی کۆرسبووک و پڕۆگرامی خوێندنی دوازدە بەش واتا دوازدە وانە دەخەینە بەرچاوی هەمووان بۆ مەبەستی پەیڕەو کردنی و سوود وەرگرتن.
هیوادارین ئەم چالاکیە هەنگاوێک بێت بۆ بەنیودەوڵەت کردنی زانکۆی نۆڵج و مامۆستاکانمان بگەیەنەتە ئاستی نێودەوڵەتی.

HWPL Peace Education Curriculum
Over the past two years, HWPL has made efforts to develop peace education curriculum by receiving advice from the ministries of education and teachers from each country. Also, about 50 education experts from various countries participated in reviewing the peace education curriculum. As of 2019, the standard curriculum is comprised of 12 lessons. In all classes, teachers can develop their own lesson plans or tools freely according to the level and environment of each country and community using the standard curriculum.
In lessons 1 to 4, students start by discovering peace in nature that has blossomed life for billions of years, and learn that all creation is harmonious because everything lives together in harmony with their own value of existence. Students can develop their abilities to create a society where people coexist and protect each other in families, schools, workplaces, communities, countries, and international society.
Lessons 5 to 12 talk about the values of peace that should be embedded in each student’s mind. Appreciation, consideration, sacrifice, forgiveness, manners, a law-abiding spirit, courage, and more are essential values for spreading peace. Students who have learned such values will become “citizens, heroes, and messengers of peace” who will achieve world peace and leave it as a legacy for the future generations.

We hope this program implementation be a step for internationalization of Knowledge University, advance the university rank and raise and skills the academic staff level to the international academic staff.
