With Iraq being one of the prominent oil-producing countries, the petroleum industry within the nation is one of the main contributors to the country’s GDP. Petroleum Engineers are required by such industry to provide the manufacturers the oil and gas needed to produce more than three hundred products we use every day such as cosmetics, medicines, plastics and textiles. Some of the products that are derived from petroleum include kerosene, propane, heating oil, diesel fuel and jet fuel just to name a few.
The department offers four-year bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. Such degree would enable graduates to work as petroleum engineers for oil and gas companies. The Department of Petroleum Engineering and Knowledge University is an exciting and stimulating place for learning. Our staff are innovative and creative practitioners who offer expertise in their field and bring their own energy and enthusiasm to their work.
