Introduction
In alignment with its commitment to academic excellence and integrity, Knowledge University (KNU) has established this Assessment and Examination Policy to ensure that all student assessments are conducted in a fair, transparent, and consistent manner. This policy provides a comprehensive framework governing the design, implementation, and evaluation of assessment and examination processes across all academic programs.
The policy is aligned with national higher education regulations and international quality assurance standards, ensuring that assessment practices accurately measure student achievement of intended learning outcomes while upholding academic integrity.
1. Purpose
This policy aims to:
- Ensure fairness, transparency, and consistency in assessment and examination processes.
- Measure student achievement of course and program learning outcomes.
- Promote academic integrity and prevent malpractice.
- Provide clear guidelines for assessment design, implementation, and grading.

3. Principles of Assessment
All assessment practices at KNU shall adhere to the following principles:

- Includes midterm and final examinations, projects, and reports.
5. Assessment Design
- Each course must include a clear assessment plan aligned with learning outcomes.
- Assessment methods must be diverse and appropriate to the subject matter.
- Mark distribution must be approved and communicated at the beginning of the semester.
- Rubrics and grading criteria must be clearly defined.
6. Examination Regulations
A. Scheduling
- Examination timetables shall be officially announced in advance.
- Students must adhere strictly to scheduled dates and times.
B. Examination Conduct
- Students must present valid identification.
- Entry after a specified time limit may not be permitted.
- Use of unauthorized materials is strictly prohibited.
- All instructions by invigilators must be followed.
C. Invigilation
- Examinations shall be supervised by authorized invigilators.
- Invigilators are responsible for maintaining order and ensuring compliance with regulations.
7. Academic Integrity and Misconduct
- Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or misconduct is strictly prohibited.

C. Academic Staff
- Design and administer assessments in accordance with policy.
- Ensure fairness and provide feedback.
D. Students
- Comply with examination rules and academic integrity standards.
- Engage responsibly in all assessment activities.
12. Continuous Improvement
Assessment practices shall be regularly reviewed and improved based on:
- Student feedback.
- Evaluation reports.
- Academic performance analysis.
- External benchmarking.
13. Policy Review
This policy shall be reviewed periodically by the Directorate of Quality Assurance to ensure alignment with national regulations and international standards.
14. Effective Date
