The Course File is a core quality assurance requirement at Knowledge University (KNU). It provides a complete record of how a course is planned, delivered, assessed, and improved. Each course file serves as documented evidence for academic quality, supporting internal review, accreditation, and continuous enhancement of teaching and learning.
Why Course Files Matter
Course Files help to:
- Ensure consistency in course delivery across semesters.

What Must Be Included
Each Course File should be organized into the following key sections:
1. Basic Course Information
- Course title, code, and level

- Semester and academic year
- Instructor(s)
2. Course Planning
- Approved syllabus / course specification
- Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)
- Weekly teaching plan
3. Teaching Evidence
- Lecture slides and notes
- Tutorials, lab materials (if applicable)
- Learning resources and references
4. Assessment Evidence
- Assignments, quizzes, and project briefs
- Midterm and final exam papers
- Model answers and marking schemes
- Grading rubrics
5. Student Work Samples
- High, medium, and low performance samples

Submission Guidelines
- Course Files must be submitted at the end of each semester.
- Preferred format: Electronic (PDF or organized folder).

- Submission is through the LMS or QA system as instructed by the department.
Roles and Accountability
- Academic Staff: Prepare and submit complete Course Files.
- QA Coordinators: Review and verify completeness.
- DQA: Monitor quality, standardize templates, and ensure compliance.
Quality Standards
A complete Course File should be:
