Water Usage Monitoring & Measurement at Knowledge University | Knowledge University Campus
Knowledge University continuously monitors water consumption across campus facilities to ensure responsible use of natural resources and to support sustainable campus operations.
As part of our environmental performance system, the Facilities & Projects Directorate records monthly water usage through installed water meters located in the main supply points and key buildings on campus. These readings include all water sourced from the municipal public network (mains supply).
The collected data helps the University to:
- track total water consumption on a monthly and annual basis
- identify areas of high usage and opportunities for efficiency improvement
- support planning for water-saving initiatives and infrastructure upgrades
- contribute to sustainable resource management and SDG 6 targets
Water Measurement Approach (2024):
- Water meters installed at campus supply points
- Monthly readings recorded and documented by Facilities Directorate
- Annual summary report prepared for sustainability monitoring
Knowledge University applies this systematic monitoring approach as part of its commitment to reducing environmental impact, protecting water resources, and promoting a responsible and sustainable campus.
