College of Science Hosts Online Workshop on Aseptic Techniques and Laboratory Best Practices

The College of Science held an online workshop today, bringing together students and lecturers in the fields of Medical Microbiology and Medical Laboratory Science. The virtual event, conducted via Google Mett platform, commenced at 8:00 PM and was led by esteemed academics A.L. Alwan Qadr, A.L. Shilan Farhad, and A.L. Lana Sardar.

The workshop was titled "Aseptic Techniques, Specimen Collection, and Waste Management", and focused on critical laboratory practices that ensure safety, accuracy, and hygiene in clinical and research settings. Participants gained valuable insights into aseptic procedures, the proper methods of collecting clinical specimens, and effective strategies for managing medical waste — all essential skills in the modern laboratory environment.
