Performance analysis of solar aircraft in Darcy-Forchheimer kerosene oil based SWCNTs-MWCNTs nanomaterial considering solar radiation
Abstract
The development of efficient solar aircraft necessitates advanced thermal management and energy utilization. Carbon nanotubes in single-walled (SWCNTs) and multi-walled (MWCNTs) form offer promising solutions due to their exceptional thermal and electrical properties. The stability and performance of CNT-based nanofluids, particularly in dynamic flight conditions are crucial. Factors such as solar radiation intensity, fluid flow characteristics and material composition significantly influence their effectiveness. In high-altitude solar aircraft, effective heat dissipation and maximized photovoltaic efficiency are paramount, demanding a thorough understanding of the nanofluids behavior under varying operational parameters. The integration of CNTs in kerosene oil-based nanofluids presents a novel approach to enhance heat transfer and solar energy absorption, contributing to improved aircraft performance.
