FUNGI ASSOCIATED WITH SHEEP SKIN

Abstract
The kingdom \"Fungi\" is a large, diverse group of organisms\r\nranging from simple yeast cells (e.g., Candida spp.) to complex\r\nfruiting bodies producers (e.g., mushrooms and puffballs).\r\nFungi found worldwide grow in a diverse environment and\r\ndevelop in several habitats where humidity, carbon, and\r\nnitrogen are available (Naranjo-Ortiz1 and Gabald 2019).\r\nFungi are eukaryotic microorganisms that digest food via\r\nextracellular enzymes and absorb simple nutrients through\r\ntheir cell walls. Most fungi reproduce by various spore types\r\nand have a body composed of microscopic hyphae. They are\r\nseptated or non-septated tubes. Fungi are heterotrophs and\r\ngain their carbon and energy from external sources (Webester\r\nand Weber 2007).
