Knowledge University Professor Wins First Place at the 3rd Applied Conference and Exhibition for Patent in Basrah

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah hosted the prestigious 3rd Applied Conference and Exhibition for Patent on April 9–10, 2025. The event showcased innovative research and groundbreaking scientific contributions from across the region. Among the participants was Dr. Fouad Hussein Kamil, a professor from the College of Science – Department of Medical Microbiology at the Knowledge University. Dr. Fouad presented a research project titled "A Novel Immunological Technique for Detection of Gramicidin Production Bacteria," which stood out for its scientific significance and practical application.

Dr. Fouad’s research earned him first place and a gold medal, marking a significant achievement both personally and institutionally. His success adds to the growing list of academic honors for the Knowledge University during the 2024–2025 academic year, and stands as a testament to the university’s commitment to excellence in scientific research and innovation. This recognition not only highlights the outstanding capabilities of the university’s faculty but also reflects the institution’s active role in advancing medical and pharmaceutical sciences on a national level.
