Medical Laboratory Science Hosts Online International Workshop on Foodborne Antibiotic Residues and Public Health

The Department of Medical Laboratory Science at Knowledge University successfully organized an online international workshop titled “Foodborne Antibiotic Residues and Their Interactions for Public Health” on January 7, 2025, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The event was conducted via a virtual platform and brought together participants from various academic and scientific backgrounds.

The workshop was led by Dr. Dhary Alewy Almashhadany and Ms. Sara Mohammed, both experts in the field of medical laboratory science and public health. They delivered insightful presentations focusing on the presence of antibiotic residues in food, their potential health risks, and the mechanisms through which these residues interact within the human body.

Participants engaged in a dynamic Q&A session, discussing regulatory policies, testing protocols, and preventive measures aimed at minimizing public health risks related to foodborne antibiotic residues.
