
Knowledge University Lecturer Participates in UNESCO Event for Women in Science

Halala Slyeman Rahman, a lecturer in the College of Law at Knowledge University, proudly represented the institution at an international event titled "Opening a Chapter for Women in Science." The program, a special initiative of UNESCO, was held for the first time in Iraq at Raparin University – Ranya.
The event marked a significant milestone in advancing opportunities for women in the scientific field, aiming to empower and encourage female participation in various disciplines. It was organized in collaboration with the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), a global initiative dedicated to promoting science among women through research, conferences, symposium, and educational programs.
Mrs. Halala’s participation highlights Knowledge University’s commitment to supporting gender equality in academia and fostering scientific development. The event served as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and inspiring future generations of female scientists in Iraq and beyond.
