Engineers as Leaders: Seminar Highlights at Knowledge University

The College of Engineering at Knowledge University hosted a thought-provoking seminar on Saturday, January 25, 2025, titled "Reasons for Using the Word Leader in the World for Engineers." The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dezaye, President of Knowledge University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Marwan Aziz, Dean of the College of Engineering.

The seminar was delivered by Engineer Salahaddin Fakhraddin Zandi, Vice Deputy of the Kurdistan Union of Engineers, who shared his insights on the significant role engineers play as leaders in shaping the modern world. Through his presentation, Engineer Zandi explored the qualities, contributions, and leadership capabilities that make engineers pivotal figures in various fields, emphasizing why the term "leader" is often associated with their profession.

The seminar sparked engaging discussions among attendees, highlighting the importance of leadership skills in engineering and how engineers drive progress and innovation in both local and global contexts. The College of Engineering continues to organize seminars and events aimed at enriching the knowledge and skills of students, faculty, and the wider engineering community.
