Medical Laboratory Science Students Raise Breast Cancer Awareness with Free Tests at Grand Majidi Mall, Erbil

In a meaningful contribution to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, undergraduates from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science conducted a social awareness event at Grand Majidi Mall in Erbil. Led by the Dean of the College, Dr. Rzgar Farooq, the initiative offered free breast cancer information sessions and screening tests to mall visitors, helping to educate the public on early detection and preventive measures.

Throughout the event, students provided hands-on guidance and distributed informative materials on breast cancer awareness, risk factors, and the importance of regular screening. Visitors benefited from professional instructions and free testing services, encouraging proactive healthcare and empowering the local community with vital knowledge. Dr. Rzgar Farooq commended the students for their dedication, highlighting the importance of such events in fostering awareness and community health support. “Engaging with the public in this way helps not only to educate but also to emphasize the role of early diagnosis in saving lives.
