The speech of the president of KNU in 1st International Conference of Applied Computing & Smart Cities (ICACS21 )
<p><span style="color:rgb(34,34,34);">on Saturday 22/1/2022 </span><a href="https://knu.edu.iq/index.php"><span style="color:rgb(34,34,34);">Knowledge University </span></a><span style="color:rgb(34,34,34);">held an International conference entitled : <strong>1st International Conference of Applied Computing & Smart Cities (ICACS21 )</strong> at </span><a href="https://knu.edu.iq/index.php"><span style="color:rgb(34,34,34);">KNU campus</span></a><span style="color:rgb(34,34,34);"> in the city of Erbil, Iraq and the conference continued for <strong>2</strong> days <strong>Saturday</strong> and <strong>Sunday 22-23/1/2022</strong> from 9:00 am till 3:30 pm .</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color:rgb(34,34,34);">The speech of </span><a href="https://knu.edu.iq/president_word.php"><span style="color:rgb(34,34,34);">the president of KNU</span></a><span style="color:rgb(34,34,34);"> in the Conference : </span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color:black;">In the name of God (Allah), the most gracious, the most merciful.</span></p><p><span style="color:black;">Dears / beloved Attendees</span></p><p><span style="color:black;">Thanks to great God, once again we have gathered in a new scientific event within the framework of international scientific activities and conferences of the </span><a href="https://knu.edu.iq/index.php"><span style="color:black;">Knowledge University</span></a><span style="color:black;">, so in this scientific event we warmly welcome researchers, thinkers and intellectuals to (Applied Computing & Smart cities) which will be held at </span><a href="https://knu.edu.iq/index.php"><span style="color:black;">Knowledge University during</span></a><span style="color:black;"> 22-23/1/2022</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color:black;">Dear attendees</span></p><p><span style="color:black;">As </span><a href="https://knu.edu.iq/index.php" target="_blank"><span style="color:black;">Knowledge university</span></a><span style="color:black;"> </span><a href="https://knu.edu.iq/president_word.php"><span style="color:black;">president </span></a><span style="color:black;">and as president of this conference, at the same time on behalf of My colleagues on the preparatory committee for the joint conference at Knowledge University, I would like to take this opportunity to remind and Demonstrate the important aspects of holding this conference, It is not hidden if I say that the importance of this conference stems from the importance of the main subjects and seeing the needs and the latest developments in the field of computer engineering and smart city, specially it is in parallel with the need for the development and revival of computer , software and smart cities sides at the level of Kurdistan region and Iraq</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color:black;">On the other hand, the importance of this scientific occasion is seen in this scientific co-ordination between the three universities (Wolverhampton University and Sanniga and St. Valley University), each with High Academic Profile Holder, high esteemed and self-employed science staff that have been an opportunity to receive new and high-level scientific research, particularly with the growing need to revitalize the smart city across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color:black;">In this context, 43 researches initially reached the Conference Preparatory Committee and were evaluated and classified by the Special Scientific Committee, 10 of which were experts outside Iraq, for all researches. In this way, the committee rejected 7 researches and approved 36 studies (researches) that eight of which were outside Iraq and presented at universities (Britain, Australia, Turkey, Oman, Qubris and Malaysia) At the same time, 28 studies have been presented and approved inside Kurdistan and Iraq, in addition to two keynote speakers were approved for the conference, one in Italy, one in Poland, one in the UAE and two in Iraq.</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color:black;">Dear attendees</span></p><p><span style="color:black;">In the past, </span><a href="https://knu.edu.iq/index.php" target="_blank"><span style="color:black;">Knowledge University</span></a><span style="color:black;"> has tried to open its place in academic and higher education field in Kurdistan and make a good and right impact on the level of university education in Kurdistan. By holding such scientific conferences and presenting a number of high-quality researches, the university has been able to play an effective role in society by filling community needs in the region and Iraq. And this includes the exact slogan of Knowledge University that continues on it from the beginning till now and in all its details, it goes through the classrooms to the community and the state.</span></p><p><span style="color:black;">Dear Participants... I wish success to everyone, May the Great God be with us from here I announce the start of this conference.
