The college of Nursing vision is to create a nursing workforce that is aligned with population needs, promotes health equity, and build a Center of Excellence in Nursing that will provide high-quality, evidence-based educational programs while also encouraging innovation to improve patient care.

Mission

The mission of The College of Nursing is to prepare professional nurses who will be leaders in addressing the community's changing health care needs and advancing the nursing profession. This mission is accomplished through excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment; advancement of implementation science; strong partnership networks; and service to others.

Job description

1. Nurse: Offering primary health care, first aid, medical care, such as dispensing medications, performing diagnostic tests, operating monitoring devices, assisting Physicians in surgeries and treatment administration, and consulting with the healthcare team to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
2. Providing infant care, such as holding and rocking babies, preparing bottles and feeding babies, changing diapers, and providing emotional support, physical comfort, and social interaction when the parents cannot be present. 
3. Recording medical information and maintaining accurate patient records and family planning… 
4. Communicating with parents to update them on their child's care, educate them on home care, and answer questions or direct them to medical staff who can answer their questions. 
5. Providing expert advice to Pediatricians, comforting restless children, and communicating with families. 6. Ensuring care center environments remain safe and child-friendly.
