International Mother Language Day | Knowledge University
In a significant event celebrating the International Mother Language Day, the Presidency of Knowledge University in coordination with the Tolerance Without Borders Institute held a unique meeting consisting of two separate panels. The meeting was attended by various political, social, and academic personalities both within and outside the region.
The first panel of the meeting was dedicated to celebrating the International Mother Language Day, which is observed annually on February 21st to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. The panel emphasized the (Policy of Kurdistan Region to the Mother Language of other Nations) and the need to raise awareness of the benefits of multilingualism in today's globalized world.
The second panel of the meeting focused on national issues and important questions about the Kurdish language. The panellists discussed the significance of the Kurdish language as an integral part of Kurdish identity and culture. They also highlighted the challenges faced by Kurdish language speakers in various domains, including education, media, and public life.
The meeting was an important platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas between experts, scholars, and practitioners in the field of language and culture. It provided an opportunity to explore the possibilities of cooperation and collaboration among different stakeholders to advance the cause of linguistic and cultural diversity.
The Presidency of Knowledge University and the Tolerance Without Borders Institute expressed their commitment to continuing their efforts to promote and protect mother languages and to address the challenges faced by linguistic minorities around the world.
