Petrographic Identification of Reservoir Minerals

The Department of Petroleum Engineering at Knowledge University organized a scientific workshop entitled “Petrographic Identification of Reservoir Minerals.” The session was presented by Asst. Lecturer Diana Aziz. The workshop focused on the petrographic methods used to identify reservoir minerals and analyze their characteristics. Participants were introduced to the importance of mineral composition in determining reservoir quality, particularly its impact on porosity and permeability. The session also included practical laboratory examples and microscopic analysis of rock thin sections, allowing attendees to better understand how mineral properties influence reservoir performance. 

This workshop reflects the department’s commitment to strengthening students’ practical skills and enhancing their academic knowledge in petroleum and reservoir studies.


بەشی ئەندازیاری نەوت لە زانکۆی نۆڵج وۆرکشۆپێکی زانستی بە ناونیشانی «Petrographic Identification of Reservoir Minerals» ڕێکخست، کە لەلایەن مامۆستا یاریدەدەر دیانا عزیز پێشکەشکرا.

لە وۆرکشۆپەکەدا باس لە شێوازەکانی ناسینەوەی مادنەکانی ڕیزەرووار بە ڕێگەی توێژینەوەی پیتروگرافی کرا. هەروەها گرنگی پێکهاتەی مادنەکان لە دیاریکردنی کوالێتی کانزا و کاریگەرییان لەسەر ڕێژەی بۆشایی و تێپەڕبوونی شلە ڕوونکرایەوە.

هەروەها چالاکییەکە نموونەی تاقیگەیی و شیکاری ژێرچاوەیی لە بڕگە نازکەکانی بەردەکان گرتەخۆ، بۆ ئەوەی بەشداربووان تێگەیشتنێکی باشتر و قوڵتر بەدەستبهێنن لە کاریگەری تایبەتمەندییە مادنەکان لەسەر کارایی کانزا.
