Students of Medical Laboratory Science Department Spread Joy at Nanakali Hospital
Erbil - Kurdistan Region
In a heartwarming gesture of compassion and solidarity, students from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, accompanied by Dr. Rzgar Farooq, Dean of the College of Science, and Dr. Zein Fathullah, Head of the Department, visited Nanakali Hospital. This visit comes in the wake of a successful health festival held last October, where students presented a vibrant array of handicrafts and Kurdish cuisine, while also raising revenue and donations for the hospital.
The primary objective of the visit was to deliver aid and special gifts to children battling cancer, extending a ray of hope and joy into their lives. The students, filled with enthusiasm and empathy, demonstrated their unwavering support for the young patients by engaging them in delightful activities and music performances. Dr. Rzgar Farooq expressed his pride in the students' initiative, emphasizing the importance of such acts of kindness in uplifting the spirits of those fighting against illness. Dr. Zein Fathullah echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the significance of community engagement in healthcare endeavours.
The visit not only brought smiles to the faces of the children but also strengthened the bond between the academic community and the healthcare sector, reaffirming their commitment to serving the community with compassion and dedication.
