Medical Microbiology Workshop Explores Pathogenicity of Candida

In a bid to advance knowledge and understanding in the field of health sciences, the Department of Medical Microbiology Sciences at Knowledge University organized a highly informative online national workshop on May 17th, 2023. The workshop, titled "Pathogenicity of Candida," brought together experts to shed light on the intricacies of Candida infections and their impact on human health.

Headlining the event were renowned speakers M. Jiyan Ali Shwani, the Head of the Medical Microbiology Department at Knowledge University, Prof. Dr. Salah M. Saleem, Lecturer at the same institution, and Prof. Dr. Inaam M. Alrubayae, Lecturer from Basrah University. The speakers delved into various aspects of Candida pathogenicity, discussing its virulence factors, mechanisms of infection, and the latest advancements in diagnosis and treatment options.
