The UNAMI Human Rights Office, in coordination with Knowledge University organized a briefing session with a particular focus on human rights aspects of the Mission’s work.

Erbil, 16 November 2022: The UNAMI Human Rights Office, in coordination with Knowledge University (KNU) in Erbil, organized a briefing session with a particular focus on human rights aspects of the Mission’s work. 25 students and four professors from the Department of International Relations of Knowledge University  participated in the session.

The students were briefed on UNAMI’s human rights monitoring and reporting, focusing on priority areas of work in the Kurdistan region, including freedom of expression, freedom of peaceful assembly and the administration of justice among other topics.
