Research conducted for the purpose of contributing towards science by the systematic collection, interpretation and evaluation of data and that, too, in a planned manner is called scientific research: a researcher is the one who conducts this research. The results obtained from a small group through scientific studies are socialised, and new information is revealed with respect to diagnosis, treatment and reliability of applications. The purpose of this review is to provide information about the definition, classification and methodology of scientific research.

Selecting a topic can be the most challenging part of a research assignment. Since this is the very first step in writing a paper, it is vital that it be done correctly. Once you have identified your topic, it may help to state it as a question. For example, if you are interested in finding out about the epidemic of obesity in the Kurdish population, you might pose the question "What are the causes of obesity in Kurdistan Region?" By posing your subject as a question you can more easily identify the main concepts or keywords to be used in your research.

Before beginning your research in earnest, do a preliminary search to determine whether there is enough information out there for your needs and to set the context of your research.

Nevertheless, research is more broadly defined than most realise. It's generally understood that biology majors working in labs "do research." But so do psychology majors interning at hospitals, English majors plowing through archival documents, business majors examining market trends, and communications majors analysing broadcast television. Any academic interest holds potential for research.

Workshops on research information topics, including literature searching, Open Access publishing, Digital Scholarship and maximising citations to your publications. In this workshop you are going to learn about: How to write proposal, questioner, Topic, subject, authorship, calculate the budget for materials and other cost, results and discussion for finishing the project. At the end of our workshop you will be engaged and learn;

  1. How do I begin research?
  2. How do you choose a research topic?
  3. What is the purpose of research?
  4. What are the benefits of research?
  5. What can you learn from doing research?
