Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences Commemorates World Diabetes Day

In a significant observance of World Diabetes Day, the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at Knowledge University (KNU) organized a remarkable event in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. The ceremony, held at the university, was graced by Dr. Dashti Dzeyi, a prominent figure in the medical field, and Dashti Haji Najmaddin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at KNU. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kayhan Zrar Ghafoor - President of Knowledge University, along with Deans and Heads of Departments, added their weight to the occasion.

Various laboratories actively participated in the event, offering free health tests for the students of KNU. Each lab provided valuable insights and screenings related to diabetes, contributing to the broader awareness campaign. Following the health screenings, a workshop was conducted, featuring Dr. Soran Zangana and Mr. Abdullah Othman, a Lecturer at Knowledge University. The workshop delved into the latest advancements in diabetes research, prevention strategies, and the role of medical laboratories in diagnosing and managing this global health concern.

The collaborative effort of Knowledge University's Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences and the participating labs — Dalany Lab, Nano Lab, Dr. Online, Novella Lab, Ainkawa Specialized Lab, American Eye & Retina Center, and Al-Mashhad Pharmacy — not only emphasized the importance of proactive health measures but also showcased the university's commitment to fostering a culture of health awareness and education among its students.
