Computer Engineering Students Embark on Scientific Trip to KRG’s Department of Information Technology

As part of its commitment to integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience, the Department of Computer Engineering at Knowledge University organized a scientific trip for third-year students to the Department of Information Technology (DIT) of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). The trip, supervised by Ms. Yara Muayyad and Ms. Ala Abdullah, provided students with a firsthand look at the operations of various DIT sectors. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world applications, allowing students to gain valuable insights into government-level IT infrastructure and services.

During the visit, the students were introduced to the core functions of different DIT organs, learning about technological advancements, cybersecurity measures, and digital governance initiatives within the region. The interaction with professionals in the field also offered students an opportunity to explore potential career paths and understand the challenges faced by IT departments in governmental institutions.
