knowledge University Celebrates ASIC Accreditation

A celebration was organized by the university on Wednesday 21-Sept-2022, for its recent achievement of acquiring ASIC accreditation. The celebration was organized by the board of trustees of Knowledge University.

A number of distinguished guests have attended this celebration including members of the Iraqi parliament: Dr. Nahlah Kadir, Dr. Mohammad Sideeq, Dr. Sabah Subhi in addition to Mr. Masood Karash, Erbil City vice mayor and members of the university counsel. The event took place in the Conference Hall of the Main Building.

The celebration started by minute of silence to honor Kurdistan’s Martyrs then Mrs. Hawzin Fatih, the head of the Department of Oil Engineering, started the welcoming speech. The celebration commenced by showing a video about Knowledge University. The President of Knowledge University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kayhan Zirar Ghafoor, gave his word about this occasion and wished for more important scientific achievements in the future. This was followed by the word of Mr. Vice President, Prof. Dr. Talib Khalil, who is the head of the KNU-ASIC accreditation committee chosen by the university to follow up with ASIC accreditation process.

ASIC (Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges & Universities) is recognized by UKVI in UK, is a member of the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) in USA and is listed in their International Directory, is a member of the BQF (British Quality Foundation), and are institutional members of EDEN (European Distance and E-Learning Network).
