The 26 Hours Training Course on Bologna Process was Successfully Completed

The directorate of quality assurance and accreditation at knowledge university held a training course entitled “Scientific Training on the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area”. The themes of the training focused on the implementation of the Bologna Process in the Kurdistan Region. Eight sessions were presented by trainers from Knowledge University, University of Zakho, University of Garmian, Charmo University, Soran University, and Saladdin University; Each session covered different features of the Bologna Process including European Credit Transfer System, Workload, Learning Outcome, calculating ECTS, SLC, employability, quality assurance, mobility, assessment, learning platform, modern teaching approaches, obstacles, strategic implementation of the bologna process. Active participation was highly encouraged and considered during the session. Different activities were performed in the session to make the training course more valuable and worthwhile for the participants. The training was completed within 4 weeks, with 8 different sessions. The total hours of the training were 26 hours, 24 hours were virtual through zoom meetings, and the 2 hours were on-campus with a focus on the KNU staff. The total number of participants in this training course was 484 from different universities in Kurdistan Region. The training was the first of its kind in the Kurdistan Region on the Bologna Process where the large number of participants from different universities participated. The training started on 28/4/2021 and ended on 23-5-2021.
