Michael D. Katz, PharmD
Tucson, Arizona, USA (Vice Chair/Chair-Elect) | Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science, and Director, College of Pharmacy International Programs and Residency Programs, University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy
Dr. Katz is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy. His practice interests include general internal medicine, endocrinology, HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases, and evidence-based practice. Dr. Katz also serves as Director of all residency-related activities for the College of Pharmacy. He teaches pharmacy and medical students in both the classroom and experiential settings. He has been involved in international education and practice for over 15 years and is the College of Pharmacy’s Director of International Programs. He has consulted and lectured extensively in Asia and the Middle East regarding pharmacy education and clinical pharmacy practice. He is the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the USA-Thai Pharmacy Consortium. Since 2009, Dr. Katz has directed the largest clinical training program for pharmacy faculty members and practicing hospital pharmacist in Saudi Arabia.


Claudio Santi - Top Italian Scientist in Chemistry
Claudio Santi was born in Fabriano, Italy on July 16, 1967. After finishing his studies of Pharmaceutical Sciences with emphasis on Organic Chemistry at the Perugia University in 1992 he continued with his PhD in Chemical Sciences at the same institution under the guidance of Prof. Marcello Tiecco which he finished in 1996 with distinction. In these years 1996-2002 he was research assistant and moved then to the position of university assistant at the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the same University. This position was interrupted in 1998 for a postdoctoral stay as National Swiss Foundation Fellow with Thomas Wirth at The Institut für Organische Chemie, Basel University, Switzerland. In 2010 he was habilitated as associate professor and then promoted to the position of Associate University Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Perugia in 2013. Since the same year he was also habilitated as Full Professor in Organic Chemistry (in the frame of the National Scientific Habilitation 2013 and 2016). Since 2013 he leads the group of Catalysis Synthesis and Organic Green Chemistry at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Perugia and leads the International scientific Network Selenium Sulfur and Redox Catalysis (SeSRedCat). He was visiting professor at The Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa in 2013 (receiving in 2018 the title of Honorary Professor from the same institution) in 2014 at Universitade Federal de Pelotas UFPel (Brazil) and in 2020 at The University of Minas Gerais UFMG (Brazil). Since 2017 he is also Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Sherief Khalifa received his BSc (Pharm) at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia in 1986, and his PhD at the University of Mississippi (USA) in 1994. Upon graduation, Dr. Khalifa joined Suez Canal University (SCU), Egypt, as Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy with linkage to the Biotechnology Research Centre at the same institution. He was a Fulbright Scholar at Georgia State University in 2001 and accepted an adjunct faculty appointment with the School of Pharmacy, University of Mississippi, from 2001 – 2005. Dr. Khalifa joined the Faculty of Pharmacy at Misr International University (MIU), Egypt until 2010. Before leaving MIU to join Qatar University (QU), he was Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Pharmacy in the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Dr. Khalifa joined the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University in August of 2017 as Professor and Dean. During his first year in office he led the initiation of the Master’s degree program in Clinical Pharmacy and a major revision of the existing PharmD program. Under his leadership the GMU PharmD program received accreditation by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation and certification by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). The Master in Clinical Pharmacy program also received accreditation by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation. Most recently, initial accreditation by CAA has been granted to the College’s new Master of Science in Drug Discovery and Development program. In addition, Dr. Khalifa is currently leading the GMU institutional accreditation project with the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) based in the UK.


Bio of Prof. Rula M. Darwish
Prof. Darwish is an experienced higher education professor. She has worked with Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE ) during her deanship to the School of Pharmacy /The University of Jordan leading the School to be the first in Jordan to get the international accreditation and one of the few accredited in the world outside US. During her deanship and also being a member of the curriculum committee she worked on the strategic plan of the school. Prof. Darwish is currently a member of the International Advisory Group (ISPAG) in the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). She is a Surveyor with Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as well as being a Surveyor of Pharmacy Programs with Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Institutions (HAEC) nationally. These positions in addition to being a Member of the Board of Trustee (The University of Science and Technology, Jordan) allowed Prof. Darwish to provide advice for universities, at national and regional level in the field of strategic planning and development as well as reforms of higher education and quality assurance. Prof. Darwish is also a Member of the executive committee of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) academic section, thus contributing in strategic planning for pharmacy education internationally. Prof. Darwish is a leader of continuous professional development (WDG9) in FIP and the chair of continuous professional development committee (CPD) in Jordan Pharmaceutical Association (JPA) thus involved in planning an evaluation of activities and its impact in pharmaceutical society. She is a member of the Advisory Committee of WHO for The TAP (Tailoring Antimicrobial Resistant Program) and contribute in strategic planning to combat drug resistance with special emphasis on the role of pharmacist in this regard.
Prof. Darwish was a member of the Scientific Committee of Scientific Research Fund in Jordan in Ministry of Higher Education as well as being a Member of Higher Committee for Research in The University of Jordan.

Michael J. Rouse, BPharm (Hons), MPS, FFIP
Assistant Executive Director, and Director, International Services at ACPE He joined ACPE in 2001, and his primary responsibilities include directing and expanding ACPE’s international services and activities; supporting initiatives in the profession to advance the quality of pharmacy education, and contributing to other programs at ACPE, primarily with respect to Continuing Professional Development and the work of the Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission. In this position, Mr. Rouse most enjoys traveling to other countries, interacting with people from different cultures, having opportunities to contribute to positive changes in pharmacy education and practice, and working with people who are also committed to quality and committed to change. Mr. Rouse earned a BPharm (Honors) degree from the University of Zimbabwe.


Kayhan Zrar Ghafoor
Kayhan Zrar Ghafoor is currently a tenure-track associate professor with Department of Computer Science at Knowledge University. Before that, he was visiting researcher at University Technology Malaysia for 6 months and serving as postdoctoral fellow for 2 years at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received the BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Salahaddin University, the MSc degree in Remote Weather Monitoring from Koya University and the PhD degree in Wireless Networks from University Technology Malaysia in 2003, 2006, and 2011, respectively. He has published over 110 scientific/research papers in ISI/Scopus indexed international journals and conferences. Dr Kayhan authored three books named “Cognitive Networks: Applications and Deployments” and "Privacy and Cybersecurity in Smartcities". He is worked as a General Chair of a workshop named Smart Sensor Protocols and Algorithms under The 9th International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN-2014) which is held in Hungary. He also served as an Associate Editor, Editorial Board Member and reviewer for numerous prestigious international journals, appeared as a workshop general chair for international workshops and conferences, and worked as a TPC member for more than 60 international conferences including GlobCom and InfoCom. He is the receipt of the UTM Chancellor Award.


Nohad A AlOmari's Biography
                                     I am Assist. Prof. Nohad A. AlOmari/Knowledge university / College of Pharmacy / Erbil /KGR/ IRAQ. I'm working in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and the education sector for about three decades with a proven record, a professional history, curriculum vitae full of accomplishments, patents, and national and international scientific awards. Strong and clear vision to find realistic  solutions to various challenges in the field of my passion for the field of pharmaceutical education and my love to raise the level of my students in the primary and higher studies.
My tenure as Deputy Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Mosul at the alternate dislocated location for the years (2014-2017),  Duhok and the Kirkuk Governorate was a turning point in my academic career, being a period full of challenges and difficulties that made my accumulated experiences an example of a professional academia that encounters academic and leadership work as the Dean of the College of Pharmacy / University of Al-Kitab/Kirkuk  ,recently assigned at Knowledge university / College of Pharmacy / Erbil /KRG , with all seriousness and confidence, is a great example of spreading the experiences gained by planting the generation of education power and empowering women, and then put pharmacy at the forefront of my interests and to create a high-quality model with institutional accreditation for the quality of pharmaceutical education in the world.

Skilled in Pharmaceutical Analysis, Dosage form formulations, Lecturing, Pharmaceutical Research, and Educational Technology. Strong healthcare services professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused in Pharmaceutical Analysis from Trinity College, Dublin.
Founder and Dean of College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University. UAE since 2007. His college offers four programs: two undergraduates (BSc. In Pharmacy and BSc, in Nutrition and dietetics) and two masters programs (MSc. In Clinical Pharmacy and MSc. In Pharmaceutical Sciences) Published more than 50 publication Scopus indexed in well-known journals served as referee and member of editorial board for number of pharmacy scientific journals ‘

Also I had many of scientific activities and workshops as 39th ESMO Congress of Spain, cancer chemotherapy training program in AUB of Lebanon, 10Th annual conference of the arab hospitals federation simultaneously with the 37th arab health ministers council in Jordan and workshop on good governance for medicines (GGM) and pharmaceutical sector country profile programs by WHO coordinated in Egypt.
